Episode 1.1 "DNA"
Easy Money is a dramedy set in the world of a Southwestern loan shark family. Led by business-minded matriarch Bobette Buffkin, "Prestige Payday Loans" is a thriving quick-cash company. However, they presently encounter competition from the thuggish Mamayo Brothers, and middle son Morgan attempts to ease tensions. At the same time, aided by attractive grad student Julia Miller, he investigates a childhood secret to resolve his feelings of familial alienation, much to Bobette's dismay. Morgan has always been Prestige's "heavy," running down ne'er-do-wells and gambling addicts, a fact he is reluctant to admit to Julia. Meanwhile, his older but less mature brother Cooper knocks heads with corrupt local Detective Yapp, who in turn blackmails Morgan. If Morgan can find a way to fend off the local yokels and unlock the secrets of his past, he just might be able to spend more time with Julia and find a better life for himself. Irgendwie dachte ich am Anfang sofort an Sopranos, okay es war schon etwas anders gemacht, aber an sich war dieses Opening doch sehr ähnlich vorallem wenn man denn noch bedenkt, dass Produzenten von "The Sopranos" mit am Werk sind. Naja, aber kurz zum Inhalt des Piloten:
Handlung steht ja oben, Familien Darlehnen-Unternehmen (sagt man das so? klingt blöd..) Kokurrenz bahnt sich an, immer mal wieder Probleme mit Kunden, hört sich eigentlich gar nicht besonders aufregend an und doch fand ich den Piloten sehr überzeugend. Gute Characktere, gute Dialoge, gute Stimmung.. aber alles ein wenig verhunzt, seltsam, dass so eine Serie es auf The CW geschafft hat, hätte da doch eher an Showtime oder HBO gedacht, hoffentlich sind die Macher da auch frei genug.
Achja, Lost-Fans dürfen sich auch freuen, Naomi ist nicht tot, wir wusstens doch die ganze Zeit ;P Viel mehr fällt mir auch nicht ein, war einfach nett anzusehen und ich wollte n Thread dazu aufmachen.

Edit 03.11.: Schade, es ist vorbei!
Edit: 18.11.: (Vor)gestern hätte die letzte produzierte Folge laufen sollen, nun liefen die letzten drei Episoden aber sowieso nicht, sondern es gab scheinbar nur Wiederholungen, und neue Termine oder sonst irgendwelche Informationen bleiben auch Wunschdenken.. Das es aus ist war ja klar, aber wenigstens die fertigen Episoden hätte man noch zeigen können. Naja, Ende!
