Dennoch kann mir keiner erzählen, dass das für "Everwood" nicht negativ ist, wenn der Produzent sich nach neuen Beschäftigungen umsieht.

Okay, Berlanti hatte sich ja in letzter Zeit sowieso mehr und mehr zurückgezogen, aber für mich ist das nur mehr ein weiteres Zeichen, dass auch die Crew nicht sonderlich darauf vertraut, dass "Everwood" eine Zukunft hat.

Das eine hat aber mit dem anderen nichts zu tun, Berlanti arbeitet bei Evewood Utah Inc. die Produziert Everwood für The WB

Berlanti --> arbeitet als Autor für The WB und hat bis jetzt neue Serien Konzepte Entwickelt.

Er arbeitet im grunde für 2 Firmen einmal für die Everwood Utah Inc. und einmal für Warner.

Nun arbeitet er für Everwood Utha Inc. und Touchstone Pictures.

Das ist in Amerika ganz normal.

Everwood lag Montags immer bei 5-6 Millionen, wen es so läuft ordnet sich die Serie unter die Top 3 beider Sender wieder ein.

insofern möcht ich auch nochmal sagen das ich keinen Grund sehe die Serie wegen den Quoten enden zu lassen.

*g* jo Smallville hat man genauso in die Pause geschickt wie Everwood ,ging bis 5x15 und seitdem ist Pause und Wiederholungen.

Auf Moviehole.net gibts ein Interview mit Tom Amandes. Hier ist ein Ausschnitt:

[...] What’s the latest on “Everwood”? I hear it mightn’t be part of the new CW Network over there?

The latest is... nobody knows. Well, at least no one who's saying. I was at a Sundance party two days before this whole network merger came out - we live in Park City, so Sundance is in our back yard – and I was talking to a guy who works on the brilliant, but recently cancelled "Arrested Development". He asked what I thought about Everwood's future. I said, "Frankly, I worry more about the network being cancelled than our show." So there we are.
You talk of the maddening programming in Australia, the WB network has treated us the same here. After earning our slot on Monday nights the first two seasons, the network tried pulling us for other shows - with no success. Then, they abruptly moved us to Thursdays, where we've done well despite them. Though not as well as we did on Mondays. So now we're in limbo as far as next season.
Luckily, now that there's been a change at the top, we go back to our Monday time slot starting March 27. So we'll have one last solid shot to prove our worth with a bunch of successive episodes. A good thing.
So, wish us luck, Clint. And thanks for giving us a boost down under.

Witzig fand ich auch den Satz ueber das Australische Fernsehen. Da ist echt was wahres dran. Wir haben leider nur die gratis TV Kanaele und Arena ist einer vom Pay Tv, welches wir dank unserer netten Hausbesitzerin nicht installieren duerfen

Es sieht nicht gut aus für Everwood... In dieser Meldung von USA Today wird die Serie nicht mal erwähnt.

Ich weiß allerdings nicht, inwieweit das als offiziell gewertet werden kann.

Aber: Es wäre eine Schande, wenn Everwood abgesetzt werden würde!

New CW network seeks its own identity

Will CW equal UPN plus WB, or something more?

That's the equation viewers of both lame-duck networks are mulling as plans are made for the CW to sprout in September, targeting the same 18-to-34 crowd its predecessors did.

Network executives will unveil development plans to advertisers at a meeting in L.A. today. But don't look for many new shows from the network, which was announced in January as a replacement for UPN and WB. The CW is already well stocked with best-of-both returning series.

CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff says five series — WB's Gilmore Girls, Smallville and Beauty and the Geek, and UPN's America's Next Top Model and Everybody Hates Chris — are a virtual lock for the CW lineup this fall, along with WWE Smackdown, expected to keep its Friday berth.

Upcoming WB series Pepper Dennis, starring Rebecca Romijn as a TV reporter, also is a contender for CW, and others, such as Girlfriends, Supernatural and Veronica Mars, are on the fence, though odds favor their return. But a rumored revival of 7th Heaven, canceled by WB for financial reasons, is a long shot.

"We already have established franchises from both networks, and shows that speak specifically to the 18-to-34 demographic," says Ostroff, who also runs UPN. "We're hoping one plus one will equal three."

Confirming a cost-saving rationale for combining the two money-losing networks, CW has ordered just six pilots, down from the 15 or so each commissioned last spring. "Obviously we'd like to see one thing new on the schedule, and there could be two," Ostroff says, plus others as midseason replacements. Candidates include:

•Aquaman, another superhero franchise from the Smallville team.

•Palm Springs, a mystery soap from Kevin Williamson (Dawson's Creek).

•Runaway, about a man falsely accused of murder who moves his family to a small town under assumed names while proving his innocence.

•Split Decision, a drama about a teenage girl who vacillates between the cheerleader and rebel crowds and is seen as two separate characters inhabiting both worlds.

•She Said, He Said, an ensemble romantic comedy in the Men Are from Mars mode: a guy, a girl and their different worldviews. Nick Lachey is in talks for the male lead.

•The Game, a Girlfriends spinoff about football players' girlfriends.

Analyst Steve Sternberg of the Magna Global USA ad firm says it's a "mistake to start out with too much new product," and says "neither WB nor UPN has been particularly successful over the past few seasons in developing new scripted series. It's much better to just take one or two new shows to start, and then focus on developing potential replacements."

Starcom's Laura Caraccioli-Davis is unenthused: "They're creating something so similar to what they had, there's no sense of excitement in the ad community," she says. And with a "tech-savvy" target audience, the CW's traditional network blueprint "seems very old-school to me."

CW so far has agreements with 49 stations, covering 60% of the USA's TV homes, to carry the network. Meantime, WB and UPN are hanging in even as some current affiliates have begun pre-empting their lineups. Ratings for Chris and Smallville are down, though Top Model returned last week with a record-high season opener.

"We obviously know it's going to be challenging for the rest of the season," Ostroff says. "But shows that are good franchises and are known will have an easier time relaunching."

The CW on Wednesday announced pickups of 13 WB and UPN series for the new network's inaugural 2006-07 season. The series announcements came during the network's pre-upfront meeting for ad sales executives.

The CW is picking up six series currently airing on UPN: comedies "All of Us," "Everybody Hates Chris" and "Girlfriends"; reality series "America's Next Top Model" and "Friday Night Smackdown!"; and drama "Veronica Mars."

Seven WB series have made The CW's cut: dramas "Everwood," "Gilmore Girls," "One Tree Hill," "Smallville" and "Supernatural"; comedy "Reba"; and reality series "Beauty and The Geek."

Einer ist immer der Erste.

Aber es stimmt, es ist schon fast zu schön um wahr zu sein.
Vor allem, weil es eigentlich keine Entscheidung vor Mai geben sollte.

Der Verkauf der Werbezeiten kann natürlich einen Einfluss auf eine vorherige Entscheidung notwendig gemacht haben. Aber damit kennen sich wahrscheinlich nur Insider der Branche aus. Wenn man als Basis für die Entscheidung die Einschaltquoten herangezogen hat, auch wenn diese von dem ungünstigen Donnerstag stammen, war eine Fortsetzung schon gerechtfertigt.

Also das es so eine Konferenz gibt ist ja wahr, also könnt es sein das das stimmt und die Serien wo genannt wurden sind plausiebel, also nix wo man jetzt daraus schließen könnte das da jemand einem verarschen will.

Nein, verarscht glaube ich auch nicht. In dieser Woche kam neulich schon mal was raus, wo angekündigt wurde, dass es am Mittwoch einen Termin von The CW mit den potentiellen Werbekunden gibt, wo auch das Programm vorgestellt wird.

Ich weiß nicht, vielleicht ziehen die ihre "persönlichen Upfronts" etwas vor, gerade weil es ein neuer Sender ist?

Wahrscheinlich darf das einfach nur nicht nach außen kommuniziert werden - diese Seite hat es eben kurzzeitig getan.

Wie auch immer, ich deute das als extrem gutes Zeichen.
